Hi everyone. I write this ‘Live from the couch’. After the past couple months we just had, I’ll need to find a specialist to surgically remove me from this thing.
We have finished our next record, which is now titled “Death & Taxes”. We had a great time making it with our producer/God of Rock/BBQ Champion Mr. Mike Fraser. Mike’s resume includes some of our biggest influences, so It was really a no-brainer to work with him. We’ll keep you posted on the release date. In the meantime, head on over to our website and pre-order “Death & Taxes”. After all, only 2 things are certain in life, why not make getting a copy of this life changing collection of rhythm, hits and timing a third?
We had an amazing time at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Playing as many places as we could, including a big crowd on St. Patrick’s Day. People danced, beers were consumed, and rock ‘n’ roll was executed. After we stuffed ourselves to an unhealthy amount of the state’s best BBQ joints, we took flight to the Toronto area. After some killer shows in Guelph, London and Peterborough, it was time to head to the GTA for our CMW showcases. We played to packed houses, you guys came out in full force and gave ‘er just as much as we did. Thanks again for that, and keep in touch for our next visit to Ontario!
The ECMAs are upon us and after a couple of showcases in Moncton, NB we’ll be off to the great white north. More specifically the Toonik Tyme festival in Iqaluit, NU. With past headliners like Hey Rosetta! and The Trews, I know I’m excited to get up there, play for some new people, meet the local dogsled team and maybe some ice fishing? Curling? Maybe there won’t be time for all of that, but it still sounds like a good idea to me!
So I guess I can sign off with, ‘keep your stick on the ice’.? well, that’s kinda awful maybe.. ‘never eat yellow snow’? that ain’t so great either.
well, keep in touch anyway!!
‘Gene
